brrrummm

Good day my readers :)

I am spending this beautiful sunrise hour chilling in sofa with my beloved viking descendant by my side and there is football on TV in the background ( it has been our ritual for all this last week :) )

Well, I confess, that I have been not so eager to write anything here for a while-even if i have had a lot of new impressions during this month.

Thanks to my first follower Justinas reminding I will tell u about one really fun day which I spent in the most beautiful  Djurgården.  It appears that my boyfriend and his closest family have a tradition to participate in the retro car race (Gärdesloppet) which was found in honor of swedish prince Bertil. He was a great fan of everything that was about racing and cars, and did participate himself as well.

Despite the stormy weather day before all the fanats of retro cars were gathering in Biskopsudden. I was helping to raise the tent for our group and later on got a wonderful chance to participate in the car racing. One acquaintance of my "father in law" had come rom Denmark alone to participate, but it´s a greater chance to get higher place in competition if u have a companion who is taking time during the race. And I dared to say that I might be a good help for him and, imagine that, he agreed :))

Well, I can say that it is a great fun to ride in that kind of cars, their sound is monstrous and breathtaking!!

Riding to the formation place.

My bf, his brothers and father were driving Bugatti and me and my driver Svend - M.G Magnette. I was hoping that as I and Svend were total beginners in Gärdesloppet so we could have a bit of beginners luck, but . . yeah :D lets save it for another time ;)
Imagine . . to ride in an approximately 70 year old sports car through the marvelous Royal Djurgården, feel the wind in your hair and speed! The highest speed they can get is around 180 km/h.

Here is the link if u want to know more about this event.

I was surprised that media was not paying more attention to Gärdesloppet - just one newspaper had a tiny tiny article. Well, but it´s usual, that violence and crisis is of a bigger importance for most of newspapers.

And a royal person did come to award the winners!!! Prince Carl-Filip came in a Porsche (his bodyguards were sneaking around all the place). He was handsome and charming as always :)

Believe it or not, but all the prices did take home my boyfriends brothers and father and the total winner was father :) Hurray!

And here u see happy me :)

Here u have also a small video with a parade of different retro cars (not sports cars, there were a lot of different funny cars too) Like that red one almost at the end of video, where I am talking with wandering voice, was remarkable because it is an amphibian car :D it goes on water as a boat!

I sincerely recommend, if u happen to be in Stockholm around the 3rd june, check out this Prins Bertil Memorial ;)
